Accept Payments Online or through Your Software
BluePay’s claim to fame is their BluePay Gateway product. With 10 awards since 2016, over 450 different out of the box software integrations, developer SDKs and payment APIs, and a range of other custom solutions for your online business, you’d be hard pressed to find a more technically capable payment processor. You will be able to send online invoices, accept credit and debit cards, B2B Level 2 & 3, ACH, and even online Apple Pay payments.
This 3-minute video gives an overview of the BluePay Gateway, and you can read more details about the various features below.
Integrations
BluePay Gateway has a tremendous amount of integrations ranging from online shopping carts, like 3d Cart and Magento, accounting (Quickbooks), and beyond to SalesForce and more. The benefit of all these integrations is that you can quickly connect to services you already use without needing to build custom connections or switch service providers, streamline your reporting, and even bill customers from within your integrated apps.
Interactive Voice Response
BluePay offers an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solution that allows your customers to make payments and manage their accounts with a touchtone phone. You can customize the language, options, voice, and more. All IVR transactions flow into the BluePay Gateway, and you can even build integrations into your own software using the BluePay API.
Recurring Billing
If you need to bill your customers on a regular basis, BluePay’s recurring billing solution is made for you. Customize when your customers are billed and for how much, and even allow your customers to set up a schedule for when they want to be charged. You can also take advantage of the Account Updater feature, which automatically updates your customer’s card information when it changes, preventing interruptions of service and reducing declined authorizations.
BluePay APIs
BluePay has a robust set of payment APIs you can use to build a payments solution directly into your custom software. They have APIs for PHP, Ruby on Rails, Perl, Java, Python, C#, C++, and VB platforms, and gives you access to all of BluePay's product offerings. Their Developer Center has a full set of documentation, code library, access to sandbox accounts, tests, and more resources.
Security
As you would expect from a technology forward company, BluePay’s security is top notch. Their products include Point-to-Pont Encryption (P2PE) that encrypts data from the moment a card is swiped, Hosted Payment Forms, and more. Check it all out below.
Hosted Payment Form
The Hosted Payment Form is an online checkout form that is hosted by BluePay. When your customer decides to check out and make a purchase on your site, they are transferred from your site to the Hosted Payment Form. The payment form is on BluePay’s server, which means that no customer data ever passes through your systems, and can improve your site's security and reduce the cost and scope of PCI compliance. You have the option of using one of BluePay’s checkout form templates, or you can create your own custom checkout form and BluePay will host it on their server so a seamless customer experience is maintained. The Hosted Payment Form works with donations too.
Protection Transaction Keypad
Protect the payments you accept through the virtual terminal using the Protected Transaction Keypad (PTK). The PTK is an on-screen PIN pad that you click card data into rather than using a keyboard, which mitigates screen grabbing malware because numbers appear in random locations on the screen.
TokenShield
TokenShieldSM is BluePay’s tokenization product. Tokenization protects your customer’s stored credit card or bank account data by replacing sensitive information with encrypted IDs, AKA tokens. This means you never store your customer's unencrypted data on your systems, reducing your PCI compliance risk. BluePay has two tokenizations options:
Customer-defined tokens - Use an existing customer number or another unique customer identifier that is already in your system to serve as the unique token identifiers
BluePay-defined tokens - BluePay creates a unique identifier for all transactions, which means you don’t have to create your own custom numbering system for transactions
Fraud Protection
BluePay provides a variety of customizable fraud prevention and management tools so you can protect yourself and your customers against fraudulent activities. Some of the highlights include:
On-Hold Functionality - Set parameters to allow specific transactions to remain on hold until you can manually approve or decline them. Parameters you can filter by include minimum and maximum sales amounts, Address verification, card verification, card issuing country, and Geographic IP address
Create a database of identified fraudsters to reject transactions for by IP, email, or address, or use BluePay’s global database that is updated daily
